James Wu “Styles” has been studying the arts since 1999 and dancing with the underground dance community since 2005.

As a young turd he was encouraged by his art teachers in Middle School to pursue art. He attended duPont Manual High School, in Louisville, Kentucky where there was enrolled in the arts magnet program. Like a fool, he also joined the production of “Les Mis” because of a girl, but fell in love with acting and all that. Separately from his studies, under the guidance of a Local Contractor, Danny Bowman, he would start learning that many things are easier to do than society would have you believe.

Maryland Institute of Art was where he attended, not knowing shit about money, and attended a 5-year program to become an art teacher. It was during those years he started Breaking with encouragement and guidance from a close family friend Luke Chang. As a Printmaking and education Major, he was coerced into teaching immediately after receiving a Masters in 2010.

Eight years of suffering is all it took for him to decide it was enough.

But it wasn’t.

He jumped back into sales “temporarily” with the hope that he would have time.

After 4 years of eating enough C-Level Bullshit he decided, no plan was needed before leaving.

Currently he is living as an artist, no longer pursuing the Corporate life of getting shit on.

Just getting shit on by everyone else.
